[ Well, this week sure was the best timing to be back in the world of Pokemon considering there was the Circus in Goldenrod and they were offering flights for a small fee. Korra hadn't really expected to be able to meet with Asami so soon, but here she was, in the same city with the engineer after all that flying. Of course she had been all excited to see the Circus as soon as she heard about it, but then again she was much more excited to see her best (human!)friend.

Korra had been keeping contact with Asami often while she was traveling. Now that she's here, feet on the ground, ride returned to wherever the Pokemon wanted to go after bringing her to Goldenrod... She sends a video to Asami. ]

Hey, I'm here! Or well... [Korra turns the gear to show the Pokemon Center right behind her.] here! So come find me, or tell me where can I find you?

[Does she sound excited? Extremely excited, there's so much excitement that someone should almost try to keep her still.]

[Of the three names she managed to narrow this down to, contacting Asami was probably the most awkward of them, after all, she had never spoken to the poor girl a day in her life, and she knew that Elsa was especially fond of her. Still, though, that would just make the whole situation even more heartbreaking for Elsa, and she really wanted to get this situation resolved as cleanly as possible, without Elsa hurting any more than she has to. And to do that, she needs a pretty clear understanding of what's going on.

Three names. Contacting all three of them and being too accusatory means that two out of three of them will be innocent, which might be a bit hard to play off. But, well, making sure Elsa got out of this situation happy was more than worth taking that initial risk.

...Of course, Anna could have waited until the play the two of them had went to go see was over, because she's actually furiously hammering away at this in the bathroom during intermission.]

Hello, Asami! I, ah... thought you'd like to know that Anna and I will be coming back towards Ecruteak City soon. She just got her badge here in Olivine, and we both thought it'd be more interesting to head back east and go to the gyms there, rather than cross the ocean now.

[Because hey ocean travel is still kind of a sore spot for the both of them, even after three years...]

Since we'll be in the area, I thought, maybe... it would be nice to meet up for a bit. If you'd like, that is.

[Hey look, the background of Elsa's message looks familiar again...!]

Hello, Asami! Anna and I just reached Ecruteak City last night. I'm sorry I didn't contact you then, but... [A laugh.] It's been a few weeks since we last traveled, so it was a bit exhausting.

[translation: Elsa was out like a light as soon as they got their room at the inn whoops]

B-But everything's fine now! So, if you're still interested, we can arrange a time and place to meet up, if you'd like...

[honey we know you're excited to meet your BFF in person but you're repeating yourself, kind of...]

[Envy didn't mean to fall asleep at his costume/makeup workstation at the circus. But he did, and startled awake with a terrible realization. And he has to call Lust RIGHT AWAY.]

You need a costume, too! I don't even have a costume!

[He is not completely awake yet.]

[The tiny black bead eyes and brown round head of a Sentret fills Asami's gear screen, before it's pulled back to reveal Korra's grinning face bent over the Pokemon. She's holding it in her lap, and she's changed into the clothes in her backpack.]

Look who joined us today! He doesn't have a name yet, but I think I'm getting the hang of this Pokemon thing.

[She's settled down for the night now, perfectly at ease camping out, even in the chill. Iqniq had a fire lit for them in no time.]

[To make things easy, Korra sends the same video message to Asami, Elsa, and Anna.]

I have really ugly scarves for everybody.

[She holds up a jumbled handful of fuzzy colors, blue, red, and green dominant among them.]

There was this Pokemon who knitted a ton of scarves and she was so proud of them that her trainer broadcast a message about it asking if anyone wanted any. There were so many scarves, it's like all she does. So I grabbed us some, because a scarf knitting Pokemon is pretty cool, and they showed up today.

I do not expect anyone to wear them, but I was hoping we could get a picture with them on to show Shiruku. That's the Pokemon that knits. I can't stress how into knitting scarves this Pokemon is.

Iqniq's already claimed mine, clearly they make great gifts for Pokemon.

[And hey, ugly scarves are worth a laugh, plus it's a cute story. Korra thinks they can all use a laugh and something cute.]

Getting up before Asami wasn't an easy thing, but Korra managed it. She slipped out quietly, holding her breath the whole time, hoping Asami wouldn't wake up before she was ready. Anybody else could, just not Asami.

The dates and things weren't quite the same, but they were close enough - and shared the same basic annual pattern - that Korra knew it was the other woman's birthday. She also knew that being here wasn't exactly the most fun thing ever for her girlfriend. How could it be? She was away from almost all her friends, her home, her company...

So Korra was determined to make this a particularly great day. Which was why she was already dressed and waiting cross legged at the foot of their bed with a breakfast tray and a bouquet of roses dyed to look like Pokeballs.

Because everything was Pokemon here.

[Elsa had woken up prepared for some kind of oddity. The past couple of fridays had been... weird. Not in a bad way, but she'd noticed a few strange behaviors on the network on each of those days; just enough for her to believe that something weird was going on.

So when today rolled around with no sign that something was off, she felt like she could finally breathe a sigh of relief. Even so, she can't help but pop in on all of her companions, just to make sure they were all okay. Which was why she was now knocking on Asami's door!]
